For me, it’s definitely over. I wrote another 4012 words today and finished with a total of 78,598 words — yet, the story isn’t finished at all. Granted, a lot of stuff is totally unnecessary for the actual fic, but I look at it as a first draft…
Anyway, is there anyone willing out there to have a look at it? I’m not talking about beta-reading but merely reading. I reached the point where I’m convinced I’ve written nothing but crap, but then again: I’ve already written so many words — it’d be stupid to trash them all, and I might need a second (or third, fourth…) opinion. Preferably from someone who’s not sleeping with me. *lol* C was a huge gelp during the last thirty days, but I think he’s a little biased…
So, anyone volunteering? Again, I don’t need a beta (yet) but someone who’s willing to have first look at it. And maybe some critical thoughts.
Next year, I probably write in German — my Sauerland cow crimi. The world need crime-solving cows. *lol*

Officially a winner now! *g* I actually had a few doubts whether I could make it, but then again the story actually is half a life — quite enough words in it. *lol*
However, current word count is 67K+ and I’m still not done — though writing in trains really is helpful. Especially when you watch the other passengers who think no one watches them… You see a LOT of interesting things on a train. Way better than sitting in a cafe and write there — as though I had time to actually sit in a cafe… If you see a flash, yelling “Coffee, balck, hot, NOW! Ugh, please!” — that would be me, being in a hurry. This last week was insane; work-wise and NaNo-wise. But more work-wise.
Why do adults need a job? Why am I an adult (at least on the paper) at all? Mom? Dad? Couldn’t you have stopped that?
Anyway, I did NaNo the first time this year, and I didn’t fail… I’m officially a winner! :D
